This film was shot mostly on location in Northern England. However all the exterior scenes featuring dogs (except one in the snow with Peter O'toole) were shot south of Auckland in New Zealand.                                             I was the NZ production designer for the NZ shoot and thus responsible for creating various standalone sets linking the UK manner house to NZ/English country side locations .
